New Credit Approval Policy For ON-LINE BIDDING

To all of our customers that want to bid on-line at one of our auctions, we have instituted a new credit approval procedure.

We cannot speak for other auctioneers, but in recent months we have been the victim of several internet bidding fraud schemes. One of them bid on-line at one of our sales and did not pay their $160,000 bill. In fact, they were part of a national internet fraud ring that we later discovered was being investigated by the FBI.

Many others were much smaller, but still very costly, amounts. They were reported to our internet bidding services BidSpotter and to eBay and will be “black listed”.

Therefore we have instituted a credit approval process which requires that all on-line bidders have a bank letter of guarantee or have a track record with us. This is no different than if they were bidding live at the plant.

If you have any questions about our policy or if we can help you in any way, please do not hesitate to contact me or one of our staff.

We want you to bid online if you cannot be at the sale, but I know that you can appreciate the need to make sure that our on-line bidders are going to pay their bill.
